Things to Do and Places to Go!

PUERTO NUEVO

It's a short walk to the restaurants and entertainment of the Puerto Nuevo lobster village. The village now harbors close to 40 restaurants all serving the local specialty the area is famous for, Puerto Nuevo style lobster. There are numerous curio shops, drug stores, cigar shops, and even a little chapel in the 3 blocks that make up Puerto Nuevo. (Scroll to bottom of page for restaurant map.)

DOWNTOWN ROSARITO

In downtown Rosarito Beach, just 8 miles north, you'll find even more restaurants, shopping and entertainment. What kind of food are you in the mood for? Rosarito boasts over 100 restaurants that run the gamut from fine French, Italian and, of course, Mexican Cuisine to steak houses - even an American style 50's cafe! You can bet the seafood selections from any of Rosarito's restaurants probably swam in the sea yesterday!

There is escorted horseback riding less than a quarter mile south of the hotel. The sand dunes in Primo Tapia (aka Cantamar) are approximately 2 miles south of us where those of you who crave excitement can rent ATV's.

ENSENADA

The city of Ensenada, just 45 minutes south, is Baja California's largest seaport and where sports fishing is available from the wharf. The city also offers some exceptionally fine restaurants. Notable are both Posada El Rey Sol and La Embotelladora Vieja/Bodegas de Santo Tomas.

BAJA'S WINE COUNTRY

The Valle de Guadalupe lies just south of Ensenada where local vineyards and wineries, including LA Cetto and Santo Tomas, produce Baja California's international award winning wines.
